Geelong Picture Framers
at Metropolis Gallery

Geelong Picture Framers
is a busy custom-framing workshop located upstairs at Metropolis Gallery. We specialise in the conservation framing of paintings and works on paper, sentimental family treasures and memorabilia. We stretch canvases and also frame everything from posters, photography and paintings to football jumpers and other 3D objects.

We’ll help select a frame that not only enhances the work: it’s important that the frame, matt, backing board and glass help to preserve it for many years to come.

Geelong Picture Framers turns your pictures into art!.

Adrian Lockhart Metropolis Gallery

Adrian Lockhart Metropolis Gallery

Adrian Lockhart’s love of the line in printmaking and drawing is well represented in Art for Books, but his discovery of artist books and
their various forms is at the heart. Showing his books alongside related paintings, drawings, woodblocks, etchings and monotypes demonstrates how the union of the ‘book’ and the ‘mark’ has formed a significant direction in his already substantial and established life’s work.

Jedda Robaard Metropolis Gallery

Jedda Robaard Metropolis Gallery

For Jedda Robaard book illustration is an opportunity to create little worlds where characters can play, unhindered by society’s
restrictions. This body of work represents her journey creating those worlds, from her initial book Rabbit’s Year
through to the ongoing Little Creatures Series.
The majority of these pieces have been created simply with
pencil and watercolour. They are just puddles of colour if you like. Puddles manipulated into tiny beings with feelings, obligations and agendas.
