'Inspirare: Luccio + Luccio'

Contemporary, classic and rare works by Marco and Debra Luccio.

Extended until Saturday 26 July

Debra sketching at the Queensland Ballet.

Inspirare: Luccio + Luccio takes a fresh look at the art of Marco and Debra Luccio who continue to draw inspiration from one other, resulting in strong mutual influences on their individual art practices. Inspirare means ‘to breathe in’ and it’s the two-way interaction of ideas and technique that led to the concept of this joint exhibition of contemporary, classic and rare works.

Portrait of Marco Luccio photographed by Debra on their first trip to Venice in 1999. First time exhibited.

Geelong Picture Framers at Metropolis Gallery

Geelong Picture Framers is a busy custom-framing workshop located upstairs at Metropolis Gallery. We specialise in the conservation framing of paintings and works on paper, sentimental family treasures and memorabilia. We stretch canvases and also frame everything from posters and paintings to football jumpers and other 3D objects.

We’ll help select a frame that not only enhances the work: it’s important that the frame, matt, backing board and glass help to preserve it for many years to come.

Geelong Picture Framers turn your pictures into art!

Sara, Keren, Mark and Kylie have been busy making stock picture frames for all your odds and ends that never seem to get the attention they deserve! Cute little blank canvas stretchers also available!!
